Admission Policy
St. Edmund School is a nonprofit organization. St. Edmund Catholic School admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the organization. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, and other organization-administered programs.
ADMISSIONS PREFERENCE IF GIVEN IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER:
First: Brothers and sisters of Catholic families attending the school.
Second: Catholic families from St. Anthony Parish (active parishioners).
Third: Catholic families of St. Thomas More Parish (active parishioners).
Fourth: All other Catholic families.
Fifth: Brothers and sisters of Non-Catholic families presently attending the school.
Sixth: Open to anyone who can meet the academic and Christian standards of the school.
St. Edmund School abides by the policy of the Diocese of Lafayette on school integration, which is as follows:

By policy, therefore, Catholic schools are obliged to support the principle by refusing admission to those applicants who, by public acts, in the judgementof the school, do not uphold this principle and thus seek refuge in a Catholic School.
